I-5 Valley View Ave Interchange Groundbreaking Ceremony

G3 is proud to be a part of the I-5 widening and Valley View Ave Interchange Project, a major milestone of the Interstate 5 (I-5) South corridor improvements. The project is one of six to widen the I-5 by adding one High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV or carpool) lane and one general purpose lane in each direction from the Los Angeles County / Orange County line to the San Gabriel River Freeway (I-605).

We are excited to be working with Security Paving on the $631.28 million project over the next several years. The project construction is anticipated to be complete in late 2019.

The I-5 South Corridor Improvement Projects will improve corridor mobility providing congestion relief and improve safety and goods movement. The project will replace a 60-year old four-lane bridge with a six-lane overcrossing, while keeping lanes open to traffic during construction. Other improvements include widening the mainline shoulder, reconfiguring on- and off-ramps and realigning frontage roads.
